Maxine Baker

Maxine Baker, nee Kettner, daughter of Fred and Paula Kettner, died May 26, 2024, in Long Beach, Calif. She was 86. Maxine was born and raised in the Truman area. She attended St. Paul’s Lutheran grade school and graduated from Truman High School in 1955. After graduation she worked in the Minneapolis area and then moved to Long Beach, Calif., and worked for a travel agency.

She met Mervin Baker and they were married in 1961. They raised their two sons in Long Beach. After retiring they moved to Show Low, Ariz.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Mervin; and brother, Curtis Kettner.

She is survived by sons, Todd and family of Salem, Ore., and Trevor and family of Long Beach; four grandchildren; and brother, Warren Kettner and family of Denver, Colo.
