Dramatic Pleas from Shoen Family Lead to Pardon Denial

Peter Shoen appeared remotely Thursday before the Board of Pardons in an attempt to secure an early release. Family members, however, spoke against his release, which prompted an emotional response from Shoen. He was convicted of first-degree murder in 1998 in the death of his wife.
