Rosaleen Zenk, 96 of Truman, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023, at Heartland Senior Living in Truman. A service will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 11 a.m., at St. John’s Lutheran Church South Branch with the Rev. Matthew Rusert officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church. Burial will take place in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, South Branch.

Rosaleen was born on March 6, 1927, the daughter of Oscar and Emma (Walkenhorst) Brinkman. She was baptized and confirmed by the Rev. W.F. Rolf at St. John’s Lutheran Church of South Branch. She received her education at District 26 and at St. John’s Lutheran Parochial School of South Branch.

On Jan. 20, 1948, Rosaleen was united in marriage to Edgar Zenk at Zion Lutheran Church, Lewisville, married by the Rev. H.W. Degner. Their first home was just one year at Lewisville. The couple then moved to South Branch on the Brinkman home place.

Rosaleen was a member of Ladies Aid and also served on several committees. Her hobbies were family genealogy and volunteer work at the Truman Historical Museum.

Surviving her is son, David and wife Judy of Lewisville; daughter, Louise and husband John Barker of Kalispell, Mont.; three granddaughters, Heather Zenk (special friend, Nick Wedner) of Lewisville, Amanda (Javier) Gomez of Seattle, Wash., and Tess (Derek) Yampradit of Anchorage, Alaska; great-grandchildren, Emma, Noah and Molly Yampradit, and Kaylee Zenk; and several nieces and nephews.

Rosaleen is preceded in death by husband, Edgar; parents, Oscar and Emma Brinkman; grandson, Joel Zenk; and great-grandson, Gerald Zenk.
